The Sun Drenched Garden and The Shade Garden

Areas of full sun and full shade in a garden can both, in their different ways, be quite tricky to plant. They can suffer from dryness and some plants can exhaust themselves in the heat or can be shy of flowering in the shade.  Improving the growing conditions from the soil up can help enormously but mostly success comes from the choice of plants. On this course, Arne shows how to make the very best of these areas, seeing them as exciting opportunities for planting and seeking out unusual species that will thrive in each particular condition and will show how adding bulbs to the palette of plants can further extend the season.
