August Blues to Indian Summers

The end of the summer as it slides into autumn is, for Arne, one of the most enjoyable times in the garden. It's not just the asters and dahlia's that re-invigorate the borders - a whole host of plants wait until now to show their colours or have their second flush. The fruit and leaf colour of the trees and shrubs form a very different backdrop to the intense green of the early summer, and the whole palette is more earthy. On this course Arne will encourage you to make the most of this time of year by showing plants and combinations that will make you long for September even in the middle of June.
